COURSE RATIONALE:
This course is a survey of the American political system. We will discuss, research and learn
about the structures and theories of American government as well as government in practice.
Students will be required to complete assignments both inside and outside of class that will give
them a better understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship as well as the tools to be a
responsible citizen.
